Does this seem like tooo much micro management?

I'm a freshman in high school. My geometry teacher has the obnoxius habit of micro-managing us students. I have to keep every single homework assignment until the test, despite the fact that math papers are practically impossible to study from. Not only that, but I also have to keep quizzes, but if I don't then I lose massive points; enough to drop my test grade to a C. And the papers have to be in the right order, in a 1.5 inch binder. Does this seem a bit excessive on the teachers part, or am I just over reacting to this? Should I get used to this and expect to find it next year?

It's a bit more fastidious than what my own teachers would have expected, but actually it sounds like great training for later life when your career may depend on keeping detailed notes (in case you got sued or something).

I wouldn't resist it; I'd embrace it.
