Exactly what it says at the top. One of my favorite humorists, Dave Barry, used to come up with names for rock bands as a running gag in his newspaper columns. So I thought why not make a game out of it? BTW, if you can bring up evidence of actually signed bands with the name suggested, the name is automatically disqualified.

There actually has already been a thread on this topic, buried somewhere in the past. It's where I got some of my better band names. The ones I either stole from Dave or created myself include:

Radioactive Tumbleweeds

Blood, Vomit & Seven-Up (trying to describe the taste in my mouth after waking up from oral surgery)

Bacon & Zombies (they make everything better!)

Autistic Rage

Synchroclastic Infindibulum

Zombie Notes (swiped from a tweet from Steve Jackson of SJGames, who was being chided by a coworker for leaving a file just labeled "Zombie Notes". As the coworker noted, that could apply to any one of four or five separate projects there...)

Kilonazis (Hardcore Punk)
Chaos Transcendent (Would work for either prog, or prog-black metal mix)

Antithesis (Could work for Screamo, prog or black metal, but IMO it would work better as a song title.)

dave barry's own rock band [with fellow novelist amy tan and 2 other artists whose names escape me now] is called "the rock-bottom remainders" in honor of all their books that get remaindered.

my nephew as a teen was a drummer for a rock band that called itself "toxic waste." if i could name any band, some good names would be-
