I love infographics

Ignore the title, it's not really depressing.

Quote:
only 5.4% of people die without marrying

That's interesting. And surprising, to me.

According to my calculations I'll be part of it with 99.998367% probability

Well, if only 5.4% of people die without marrying, than that means that 94.6% of married people die. I don't like the odds, so I won't marry

Just out of curiosity, what proportion of that 5.4% are male aspies? It doesn't mention that piece of information in the article.

Hi Jono! No you're right, there's no statistics about autistic coupling habits specifically there. I don't know what proportion of the population is known or estimated to be autistic, does anyone have any data?

Still, 5.4% seems like a very low figure. But then I'm always surprised when I hear about people getting married, I'm always like "Do people still do that?"

Aye, it's not loading for me now either. Bummer! But Jono must have seen it, I assume...

I've heard a figure of 1 in 150 people are on the spectrum. It's 1 in 100 in the UK.

some estimates say only 1 to 5 out of 1000. and that includes classic autism and PDD.

if no more than 1% of the people surveyed could be autistic, then that would be like 20% of the single people at maximum.

i think. now i've mixed myself up.

I'd like to know how they collected this data. Seems fishy.
