We celebrated at a friend's house. But since some of the other guests were getting real tired, we decided to celebrate New Years on Nova Scotia time. But, it was a good party.

Well I was feeling crappy so I decide to get curled up on the sofa and watch Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind. I thought it was a great film, I've seen some people refer to it as an 'aspie' film and Joel does seem to have some aspie traits (the not being able to make eye-contact as one example).
I was feeling much better towards the end of this movie- then the noisy neighbours started letting off fireworks in the street and freaked out the kids!!
Anyway- hope you all have a good new year's eve in your own way
Mel

Happy New Year Everybody!
This is Neil Gaiman's new years message to his readers, but I'm stealing it because it's great-
May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't to forget make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
what a fantastic quote, jennie! being snogged by someone who thinks i'm wonderful... sigh...
but then, that's neil gaiman for you. not sure about his Sandman stuff (not a great comic fan), but Smoke and Mirrors, Neverwhere, Stardust (such a beautiful book) and, of course, Good Omens...
