Please advise what is the recommended pc headset for an individual diagnosed with Severe Asperger Syndrome. The pc headset will be used for online gaming.

Current online games are:
-- Starcraft II Wings of Liberty
-- Star Wars Galaxies

Thanks. I want to obtain a good quality one, and would appreciate input from first hand users of the headsets.

I appreciate your help.

:D

I get the basic Logitech one it is decent and good. It has one of those volume knobs on the cord. I got the lowest one because something stupid can happen to it. since I started withing headsets I have been through i think over 5. The Best quality I haved was cyperacustics"CA" but I can't find it anymore. I normally change to bass and treble through the sound card if needed if the card has it.

First, because you mention severe Asperger's Syndrome, what issues do you have the hardest time with? Like, monotone voice? I am curious as to wether or not you are trying to find a headset that would aid your more severe symptoms...

Yes, I too am confused as to what relevance your condition has on the headset. What exactly are you looking to get out of it that would be different from an NT?

Depends how high end you want to go. I have a Razer Carcharias set, which was about $70 at Best Buy. The audio quality is brilliant and the mic is nice. They're also ultra comfy and adjustable, fully over ear with plush padding on the ears and top of the headset.

I suggest getting a Plantronics gaming headsets. They have comfortable models from the price range of 40 to 100 dollars. I'm using one of their 50 dollar models which I got at retail for 40. It's pretty good on sound and quality.

The main issue my son has with regards to the headset is that it hurts his head - because he finds them very tight on his ears. I had a very hard time finding him headphones for a course at school.

When I go into our local retailers (Future Shop, Source, Staples, Wal-Mart) and enter the search criteria "gaming headset", the following headsets are provided. Of course, they are only showing the products which they have "in stock", so that doesn't mean they don't carry a product. I don't know what you would suggest is best, or if I should order online. I find a lot of the headsets which are sopposedly good for gaming are not coming up with the search criteria. (for example, some of the Turtle Beach headsets, etc.).

I have no idea what is good and what is not good.

Headrush Communication Vibration Headset $49.99
Logitech Gaming Headset G330 $62.99
Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 $179.99
Plantronics PC Gaming Headset GameCom 367 $66.99
Plantronics PC Gaming Headset GameCom 376 $49.99
Plantronics PC Gaming Headset Gamecom 777 $133.99
Plantronics Audio Wireless PC Headset 995 $99.99
Razer Carcharias Gaming Headset RZ04-00270100-R3U1 $104.99
Razer Megalodon USB Gaming Headset $178.99
Rocketfist Gaming Headset RF-GPS3007 $19.99
Rocketfish Gaming Headset RF-GPS31104 $39.99
Saitek ProFlight Headset PH09 $154.99
Sennheiser PC161 Headset $114.99
Sennheiser PC330 Gaming Stereo Headset $179.99
Sennheiser PC333D Gaming Stereo Headset $219.99
Sennheiser PC350 Gaming Headset $229.99
SteelSeries 5H V2 USB Gaming Headset $154.99
SteelSeries 7H USB Headset with Microphones $159.99
SteelSeries Siberia V2 USB Headset $123.99
SteelSeries Siberia V2 Headset $99.99

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. I did pick up a pair of Logitech H555; but I read a lot of negative reviews about them, so this is why I posted this query. I don't want to give my son a headset that's going to fall apart shortly after he starts using them. Thanks.
