Today ended my first semester of college, and I have over a month off. :)

Anyway, I'm a little disappointed in my grades. I had to drop one class (pre-algebra) because that class was kicking my ass all over the place, and so I ended up with four classes on my schedule afterward. The last time I checked (which was a few minutes ago), it looks like I made all "B"s in my classes. I thought for sure that I'd make an "A" in at least one of my classes.

Maybe I'm just being too hard on myself?

Don't be disappointed - celebrate:) You've achieved a lot so give yourself credit and enjoy your break knowing you've done really well.

I'm studying too and my goal is just to pass - the grade you get is not a reflection of you - the most important thing is just to hang in there - keeping on going is what will make you successful - better to get B's and move forward than a few A's and fail other subjects...that's what I think anyway.

You're right. I really should enjoy my month-long break (and I plan to :) ).

Maybe I can do better next semester.

Yeah, you're being too hard on yourself :P All B's is good, and it (cliche alert) gives you something to work towards next year.

Congratulations, though :)

More significant that the precise letter is that you are consistent across the board. Very easy especially 1st semester to ace the one interesting class and flunk the all important professional prerequisite.

If you keep on a solid B you will be doing a lot better than a lot I have seen.

Have a good break.

A month break?!

I only have three weeks off and then I'm back for the spring semester. How do you figure a month off?

Classes don't resume for me until January 18th.

That isn't a month.

Its more like half a month.

Today is December 17th, and I resume school on January 18th. That constitutes a month (and a day).

December and January are separate months.

Also different year.

You cannot combine both months together.

Because its December 17th, its only half a month because you still had 3 weeks in school.

A full month would start at December 1st, not December 17th.

Congrats!

I'd say B's are great for your first term and full/near full load (12 hrs is a full load where I'm from!).

I'm a bit too obsessed with perfect grades--hence I'm only taking a 3/4 load (I'm such a baby)....

But, like my advisor told me, when you get out in the real world nobody will care if you made A's or C's as long as you have the degree and can get the job done!

Congrats on your first semester!

All B's isn't bad for first semester when you're trying to learn your way around an environment that works so differently than high school. New campus, new social rules, new expectations, new people...it's a lot. Don't worry, you have plenty of time to get As and I bet you will in the future! Enjoy the rest of your break!

Pandora Box im pretty sure one month constitutes roughly 30 days.

Congratulations, I woulda been happy with all B's at my previous uni before I took a break. Good job!
