Currently I'm employed at a temporary labor agency. "Paid Daily", basically. I show up, make myself available, and often get sent out and have earned from between $40 and $68 after taxation. It seems a nice set up since, say I'm sick or recovering from the last day of work, I don't have a schedule to break and can't get fired when I need to take a break due to stress. It's especially nice not to have to perform back-to-back hours (such as third shift followed by first shift). Also, while waiting in the lobby to be sent out to work, I have free time to study textbooks and still go out and earn money later in the day.

That sounds like a good work style. It gives you a lot of freedom so that you are not confined to a narrow job, but still gets you reasonably regular work.

Temp agencies sound like a good way to go for aspies of a certain disposition.

Good for you!

The temp agencies I have used in the past have more typically sent me into every-day-is-the-same, all-day-long job situations for probationary periods headed toward being hired into those companies.
