Just now, I was trying to open a plastic bag of Starbursts. The bag was damn near impossible to open, and when I finally managed to tear it open, all the individual Starburst pieces went flying everywhere.

I really hate it when that happens. Why do manufacturers deliberately make their bags so difficult to open?

I got my wife a pair of Fiskars Titanium Nitride shop scissors for Christmas to help her open stuff--works great those hard plastic packages that are welded together.

Maybe open it in another bag so it doesn't scatter. The thing that kills me are those hard plastic form fitting ones. It took me 5 minutes to get open a memory stick and some curtain rods the other day. If you cut them they become a weapon.

Grow claws.

That's what I did. makes opening just about everything so much easier: bags, shrinkwrap, human flesh, just poke and rip.
