Are the ads chosen by the moderators/owner, or is it more a matter of taking a contract and finding out what the advertiser sends us?
I really hate to complain(ok. i dont, or i wouldnt), but we seem to get consistant flashy squeeky adds, like that horrible "the fart button" ad. I understand ads are targeted at an audience, but I dont think the juvenile humour ads really fit the Aspie mindset. Certainly not mine.
While WR is a light hearted place, for the most part, ads like "the fart button" give the wrong image of what WP is all about. I for one prize the intelligence and clear speach that exists around here, and I fear such ads chase off a certain type of person that aught to make themselves at home here.
Could it(and others like it) go away please?
