Your posts always make me smile. :)

I'm sorry about your father.

Thanks everyone for posting. If anyone wants to, give more details that might help a lonely heart out there figure out how they might go about meeting someone.

I think the only thing I can say is to be open to the possibility. Love may come from the most unexpected place.

I met my first bf on a mission trip type thing.

The other people I've dated I met through friends/hanging out with the same group of people.

when i got tammy home, we realized that we loved each other, and the rest of the story is that we became soul mates and i love her very much and she loves me very much.

i can not describe things well at the moment because my father is extremely sick and i am freaking out so i am sorry if my post is lackluster.

I think that Tammy was very lucky to find someone like you, b9- not everyone is capable of such unconditional love. You're lucky too, though, because Tammy loves you so much and makes you so happy. Your writings about her are always very vivid, and she sounds like an unusually pure-hearted person.

I'm sorry that your father is so unwell. I hope that his health improves and that you feel calmer soon. Jenny

I met my husband online on a forum and then we met three weeks later at Starbucks on my birthday.

You might not believe this but I met my wife through my mother! My mum introduced her to me because she knew I had problems getting any friends at all. She turns out to be really caring and understanding.

I knew someone who did that. They didn't get as far as marriage. They both discovered that they both were cheating on each other. Talk about adding a dose of crazy to an already unorthodox situation!

After reading the posts in this thread, I realize that I've been in most of those situations, and still only get friend zoned if anything at all.
But thanks for trying.

Well I moved from a country town to the big city.

I met up with a girl I had known before. I dated her a couple of times and then fell in love with her roommate.

Actually she lived with two other girls and I shared an apartment with two other guys.

Bingo! Three matches and three weddings. :D

I met my current partner the first time in 1996, on the first day of kindergarten. :D I do believe we chased each other everywhere trying to give the other cooties. Then the second time we met at a deli.

I'm afraid that same destiny is going to happen to me soon. I have a feeling my mom's going to the homeland(Cambodia) and she's gonna try to arrange my marriage. If that happens, I'll kill myself. I'm not gonna be no one's b***h for a green card.
