Hey, I had this idea about the kids' and adolescent forums that maybe an age filter could be applied from keeping out adults unless they're a moderator or the parent of the user. This would keep adults out who would seek to cause harm to the children. It would be like age restriction to the adult forum. Kids aren't allowed.

I don't think that would work, from a practical perspective. People can lie about their age and say they are a kid. They don't even have to pick a birthday and stick with it. As, as far as parents, there's no way to verify it. Two problems with asking the kid. One, we have no way to verify that the "kid" really is a kid. And a kid could like and say, no, that person isn't my parent, if they don't want their parent to see their posts there. Plus, moderating exceptions to an age rule would be a lot of work for the moderators (or is that an Admin function), if it's even possible.
