Hi, have I gotten off at the right planet?

Hi from Canada's capital,

A year ago I'd never heard of Asperger's and have yet to see a professional about it, but as I read up on it, it describes me to a T. I don't see it as a problem; if giving up the intellectual benefits of AS is the price of removing its social drawbacks, I am not interested.

I obsess over things, have poor social skills (but no lack of effort, being very outgoing) and am chronically incapable of reading people, miss hints, take couched comments as literal, often misspeak, and am extremely trusting and loyal.

I look forward to learning more about all of you as I start to feel my way around this site.

Thanks folks! This definitely appears to be the right wrong planet.

I just took the piepalace asperger's AQ test and it scored me a '36' which it describes at the low end of extreme.

Can you recommend any more reliable tests short of a professional opinion (which I also plan to get, but I'm impatient and want to know now)?
