How easy is it to read the following sentence. After stumbling through the first few words and figuring out the pattern, not hard at all for me!

O lny srmat poelpe can raed this.

Cdnuolt blveiee that I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd what I was rdanieg. The
Phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy,

It deosn't mttaer in what oredr the ltteers in a word are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is that the first and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can still raed it wouthit a porbelm.

This is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! If
You can raed this psas it on ! !

I was able to read this without any problem, it just goes to show that spelling really isn't that important, but I don't like doing it myself.

yes i read it. interesting. i'm sure i remember seeing something about an advertising campaign that used this phenomenon in a recent issue of creative review magazine.
actually, when we read, we dont actually register all of the letters in words. we scan the page and recognise words based on shape configurations, hence why type in uppercase is more difficult to read.

the fact that most of us can read that fairly easily is also why sms style text is so hard to read. Because so few of the right letters are used.

ne1 Ls h8 sms?

A little people read a text taking by one word. So they can understand that text. But I know a person who read a text taking by one line! That was very amazing to me. The speed of reading is spectacular

You mean i spent all that time memorizing vocabulary word and this is the reality. If teachers graded like this I would have had a higher GPA
