They're all annoying! I was talking to my dad the other day about the kind of characters portrayed in TV ads. I says, "Are these people supposed to be likeable?" and he says that they are probably designed to be irritating, because irritating things stick in your mind, and by gad, I think he was onto something.

I'm inclined to agree with Moog: They're all annoying. And most of them are obvious in their attempts at manipulating the viewer's feelings/opinions, which I find distasteful. I long for the days when an advertisement simply told you about the product in question.

Never seen a JS ad myself, I was referring to the show itself. It's like an advertisement to me.

they're mostly all incredibly annoying, but occasionally there's something so bizarre and/or funny i enjoy it..
like those 'belly's gonna get ya' ads for instance lol. mostly i find myself swearing at the screen or interrupting the dialogue like 'no, i don't..' own my own home, want a car or a bargain.. or those damned garnier nutrisse ads, so nutrisse means nourish ? you're still a mug! lol i'm with bill hicks on advertising and marketing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDW_Hj2K0wo
