From the way things look so far, Couey will most likey get the needle. There is way too much evidence against him, including the fact he tried to flee from Florida, and that Her body was found on his property.

I can't say I feel sorry for him. I don't understand why anyone would harm a child.

I don't get the point of the death sentence. I mean, how can they be punished for crimes if they just get sent off into eternal peace? Let them rot in a cell for the rest of their worthless lives.

I'd rather he had a hot, buggy working 16 hours a day in the Florida sun for the rest of his life first then if he does do that death bed conversion and find God at least we had him a little while

If this is not the same person who was in the military, I have no idea who it is. Who could it possibly be?

I would'nt bet in Vegas on that!!

Personally I like Bill O'Reiley's idea of Life of hard labor in a camp in Alaska. If you try to escape, you freeze to death!!

If I was Emperor of the U.S. I would torture them and their whole family to death, but that's just me.

Unless his body is cremated, he could be buried and then will literally rot. Why not just bury him alive? I'll sign on for that as an alternative form of the death sentence being carried out.

I don't want to drag this into a religious discussion, but this is one of the big problems I have with the concept. I have a really hard time giving any credence to a system that forgives absolutely any evil act you have done simply because you "find God" or 'accept Jesus Christ as your saviour.'

I didn't either seeing that I am not a big beliver but am agaist the death penalty.I see the problem though in the Christianity they say it's never too late to admit and atone for your sins hence the deathbed conversions. We could just avoid the whole thing and do as I said

I haven't read the newspaper report above, and I don't want to. I get very upset when I read that children have been harmed by some freak who should probably have been in jail long ago.

The legal system needs to change. I was a volunteer in an institution that dealt with child sex offenders when I was in college. I had high hopes then of become a forensic psychologist. The psychologist who worked in the institution told me that, on average, child sexual abusers have abused approximately 120 children before they are ever brought to trial in the justice system.

When a case goes to court the crown counsel, or whose ever job it is to approve charges, must make a decision as to whether the case is going to go to trial based on the probability of conviction. In child sexual assualt cases the burden of proof is so hard to carry that the courts will often refuse to approve charges so that the case never goes to trial. The guy gets off, with no trial and no repercussions, and then he goes on to do more harm to more children.

I would like to go on record or saying Fry the little weasle.. But as one pointed out he gets away with it in the long run.. yes hell can be here on earth! I think once he gets to jail then he will be protected from the basic population who do just to what just deserves. my best friend is a prison warden here in NY.. from experience these pieces of garbage are kept away from the creeps who wants to use him for saturday night fun.. true justice is to make him go to prison and be part of the criminal population.. but they allow these creeps more rights that he did Jessica.. I could never image being her dad.. i can tell you that my family would never be able to restrain themselves and Couey would never live to see his day in court. And I do love Bill O'Rielly who thinks lock stock and barrel there is no better justice in the world as for all the sex offenders to get what is coming to them.. I know most people do not agree with Bill but I am a huge fan of his and think what he does to expose these creeps and the judges who let them go with a slap on the wrist.. Ohh and every time I see that Couey family I want to wring that piece of garbages neck for letting her uncle get away with this.. she knew.. she is just as guilty.....

I wouldn't call him a 'sex offender', as I don't believe that meets the statute. Still, it has forever damaged his credibility with me. I'm not really interested in what he has to say about anything.

I don't know who she is, but I heard one short report about her.
