Nobuo Uematsu! I love him. He's a composer, but he's super good, and actually alive, unlike Bach or Grieg or Mozart.

Also, this guy is pretty inspirational for me, since I'm learning the accordion.

Quite a few guitarists... Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour, Joe Satriani, Alan Holdsworth, any guitarist who played with Steely Dan... I've had way too many influences to name them all. Beethoven and Paganini are two others who I keep in mind when I write

SIGUR EFFING RÓS. And John Entwistle. Why? Because John Entwistle is the best bass player to ever live(in my opinion), and Sigur Rós doesn't just create music, they create emotion.

I tend to write songs and sing, since while I dabble in music, I have trouble moving my fingers on an individual level. My inspiration for lyric writing is Jim Morrison, and I wish I could write music like Ray Manzarek, but alas, that is simply not my gift.

My Most Influential Bands/Singers:

1. Eminem
2. Weird Al
3. Queen
4. Linkin' Park

Eminem is my most influential singer because I can relate to a lot of the themes mentioned in his songs (i.e. his lousy childhood, relationship with his mom, similar background).

Primarily Patsy Cline and Joan Baez. But I also like what Tori Amos does with the piano.
