Nice to know those options are there, because I may one day find myself in such a relationship. :)

Yes, but I'm glad they implemented it nonetheless!

It seems a very good idea to have equal rights for all, good on you for publishing the link midlifeaspie. I'm 30 next year so I'm too apporaching middle age.

Everyone deserves to have equal rights and liberty for which they ever want to practice, there was a article on LGBT for which if you would invite a two lesbian friends and a daughter, at church, personally it wouldnt bother me as everyone has equal rights.

Whatever a person does in their private life is their own affair both in religious and sexuality wise, the power of thought should not be violated.

Facebook has done a good thing here, it stands for liberty.

It's good but at the same time, if I got a civil partnership (regardless of my/my partner's sex, gender, sexuality) I would just consider it marriage. It would feel weird referring to it as a "civil partnership." Sounds overly formal, like a business partnership or something. So I don't really see te need to add civil partnership as well as single/relationship/married etc. But then I know a lot of gay people in CPs do actually prefer to differentiate between them and marriages. To me it seems kinda 'seperate but equal' bollocks, if you know what I mean
