No More Frivolous Subforum Requests, Please

Speaking as a former moderator and one who knows enough of the behind the scenes work for WP, could you please stop making these frivolous requests for subfora? Alex is the only one capable of doing so, to my knowledge, and I don't think he has the time or inclination to create all these new fora.

Why can't there be some facetiousness, humor, everywhere? Why must everything be so serious?

My request for a space subforum was serious though. The one for a Christianity subforum was also. And my request for a history subforum years ago was also serious. The only frivolous ones I've made are the requests for a parrot subforum and a troll subforum.

I don't feel rejection when nothing happens. I'm a pessimist, so I expect for nothing to happen so that there is no feeling of rejection.

Sure, but other people hear these kinds of frivolity as serious requests for new forums or sub-forums. So for them, it is best to only make honest requests ... yet even then they will likely still get little or no response.

That is not the issue here. Some people simply take things at face value, and they just naturally miss the frivolous part of a request for a forum or sub-forum other people would never even think of taking seriously. Personally, that has been a probelm for me for most of my life: I take people at their words without presuming (or even knowing how) to read between the lines.

Well, who are you asking? If you are asking the moderators then it gets frustrating to have someone constantly asking for something you can't provide. If you are asking the thin air as an experiment in metaphysics, then it is frustrating to think that other members will assume you are asking a moderator for something we can't provide. If you are asking Alex, you are going about it completely wrong as he is very unlikely to read this, and we are back to the second scenario.

What if the limitations of moderators are known and acknowledged, not expecting moderators to do anything since they are unable? Would it be a problem if such knowledge is already acknowledged?

If you know we can't do anything about it then why are you asking? At least, why are you asking here in the forum for reporting bugs and problems? Wouldn't hypothetical questions be better served in the Random forum? You would probably get a lot more takers.
