Hi, all!
I've been feeling a deep need of getting in contact with others who have Asperger's syndrome and also parents to children with AS.
Our 12 (13 this summer) year old son has Asperger's along with impulse control issues. He lives at a boarding school 1 hour and 15 min away from home since 1st of March last year. Still after 1 year it's not working very well at all.
I miss him so so much! He's home during 2 weekends out of 4... we go there 1 weekend out of 4 and he's home 1 Thursday afternoon 1 week out of 4.
Our son got diagnosed in March 2006 and I myself in June the same year. I also struggle with OCD.
Our daughter 2 years younger than her brother is fighting anxiety and OCD. Her brother's issues have affected her life in so many ways.
Hubby is going in and out of depression due to the many years of stress in our family.
I try to stay creative writing poetry, work with graphics, take photos, train the dog and work on my website.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys and to share mutual support.
