Dreaming of meltdowns

I had the oddest dream the other day. As an adult I had a full on meltdown. I am the type that hates being touched, the worst being poked. Well the dream I was being poked and I had a full meltdown, fetal position and gone to the outside world. It really disturbed me. It set the tone for the rest of the day. As an adult, I have learned to cope with things and deal better then melting down, but I woke up pissed off and feeling really off.

Anyone else have meltdown dreams? Did it disturb you as much as it did me? Two nights ago and thinking about it still makes me twinge.

Yes. I was staying in a hotel room with one of my committee members and I had a dream about a computer malfunction where I screamed a whole bunch of swear words. I hope I didn't really make these sounds. I felt a little disturbed the next morning too.

I used to frequently have dreams of shouting, screaming, and hitting my mother.
Also choking her and punching her.
In these dreams she would be saying terrible things about me in a calm voice, with a smile on her face.
No matter how much I screamed at her and hit her, it never fazed her at all.
I dreamed these things as an adult, but I hardly ever dream them now that she's suffering from dementia.
She was a terribly controlling and judgemental mother.

I had a dream I had a meltdown not too long ago because loud little children were following me. I thought it was weird to dream that, too.
