I'd like to start going to more conferences and conventions for HFA people that are run (at least partially) by HFA people. Can anybody tell me the best events to check out? I've been hearing about a lot of Autism conferences but I'm not sure which ones to attend or avoid.

First and foremost, Autreat, in Pennsylvania:

If you can cross the Atlantic to England, then definitely Autscape:
www.autscape.org

Those are the largest, autistic-run, international conferences.

For smaller, regional ones, you can check with your local ASAN chapter, or with GRASP, or with AASCEND, etc.
