It's been raining for at least three weeks here in Ohio.

We've been in a ten year drought and to make matters worse have water restrictions as our water catchments were getting low but in the last few months we've been getting some rain, which is good I hate the heat, its awful when you can't water your garden and your trying to save your plants with buckets from the shower.

I also love the rain. I like it when I'm in bed and I have the air conditioner turned off, so I can hear the rain.

I don't have a strong opinion about rain. I spend most of my time inside. As long as a storm doesn't cause the power to go out & the temperature doesn't say hot & add to the usually high humidity here; I don't really care. What I don't understand is that people around my area are worried about flooding in the middle of a bad drought :?

Henbane, spare your politicians. I'd blame it on Milli Vanilli.

Weather here gets screwier and screwier every year. Every year, the winters get more brutal; longer, colder, and with more snow. Then we move on from six months of snow and ice to two months of cold rain. It's early May, and we're only just now getting up to seventy degrees Fahrenheit. The wind is a pain, too. Always high winds, it seems, no matter what season it is. I hate this state's weather.

I like it when it rains as I'm lying in bed at night. The sound of rain is comforting.

It's RAINED!! :D :D :D

We had 0.8 mm of rain last night. 0.8!

I know this isn't a lot, but it's still very pleasing.

All that raindancing paid off.

Do you think they'll notice that Vince Cable is buried in my back garden?

Whilst I agree for the most part, saying you don't need air conditioning here is like saying you don't need heating in New York. See Solvejg's posts for a description of 'here', as I suspect we're in the same city. People (mostly elderly) die from heatstroke in our summers at similar rates to hypothermia in the winter of colder places. Two years ago I spent a summer living in an upstairs room of a house with no air conditioning -- I still have the scarred skin from the rash caused by trying to keep cool at night with nothing but a fan and a damp cloth. It was a choice between that and being homeless, but I'd never willingly relive that experience.

Can Lansley be next ...? Poor gardens neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed him ! He may be a sh*t politician but gardens are meant to like manure.

Thunderstorm our way on Sat night, cloud to cloud lightening was wonderful. And my car has had a wash at last.

I love it when they forecast rain instead of snow in the winter.

I don't like it so much when you get those grey, rainy days in the summer, and miss out on those lovely sunny hot days. Thundery showers or hailstones are good in the summer, though.

we don't really get rain at this time of year very often. for precipitation we get snow in winter and it rains in june/july(THUNDERBOOMERS!)/august mostly.

spring came 2 weeks late this year.

You want rain? It's done nothing but rain here for 3 straight months.

We're set records for the coldest months on record (March, april) and only had 5 days above 60 degrees so far in 2011.

We need some rain over here in the South-East part of Britain! Is hasn't rained for weeks and weeks and weeks, only the odd showers. We're crying out for rain.
