I was curious, when you guys talk about sensory overload which makes it difficult to socialize, does this enviorenment specifically have to have people? Like if you were in a room by yourself with loud music and bright lights would dislike it. Is that fact that there are people around making the noise and going in all different directions the reasons for the sensory overload or is it a combination of both. Personally I dont have sensory problems, only slight sensativities to sound, but its not problematic. So Im kinda confused. I do get emotionally sensative in large groups of people but thats mainly due to social anxiety. I can recall being younger, large group settings were fine cause it didnt bother me. As I grew older and more socially aware, large group settings became more intolerable because I get very anxious.

Edit: Is it strictly the sensory stimuli and/or the people. Does the fact that theres people have anything to do with it. Is it strictly over sensativities.

If I am in a bright, loud environment, sure I'll get overwhelmed. Crowds are generally loud, and I've got a need for more personal space than usual, which makes groups of people a bit difficult to deal with. My social anxiety used to be worse, and I suppose that was stressful, too, but in an internal way, not a physical way.

My Sensory overload mainly comes from Sound like Clapping in the same room from the pressure, I carry these Philips Earbuds with me to control the pressure of the sound because it has a thing to increase Bass so the pressure from the clamps get restricted.

I get sensory overload with or without people around. People just make it far more likely because they're visible, they're audible, they move around me and I have to work out where they're going and where I am. They have emotions that I sometimes can't block out. Sometimes they demand my attention when I am not fully able to focus because of all these things, making it worse.

But even without people around, loud noises and lights and movement can overload me. Video games overload me.
