When I want my hair short, I have it cut to collar length and the ends are razored. I take some hair wax and flip up the ends. It's a cute little urban style that works well casually and professionally. I have that flippy style now but have it shoulder length because I still wanted to put it into a ponytail for working out, the beach and sports. Plus, when I have my short, flippy hair, I miss having longer hair to play with... so this was a best of both worlds thing.

Except I have a long bang that I sweep to the side and it was always my auburn red. The style is surprisingly low maintenance. It's really not that hard to do the flippies with the wax, then a quick dust of hairspray to hold it. I always get tons of compliments on it.
