I really have to watch what I listen/watch because I tend to subconsiously start to act as the characters I see on tv. I've always thought that they can affect how I think but it seems I even act like them I have come to realize. Especially if it's a tv show or song/band I began to obsess over. My humor will become theirs, my attitude, many phrases...

Anyways....anyone else find themselves doing this?

Yes! I have to really watch this, because if the character portrayed in the show is not kind, I can easily hurt someone's feelings.

No, not really. I tend to start noticing similarities in my behavior if there are any, but I don't emulate anyone.

... I don't think.

Yes! This happens whenever I see a movie that has characters I like in it, especially if the movie is one of my obsessions. And even if I don't outwardly act like the characters too much, I will temporarily feel like I'm them on the inside, if that makes any sense.

There was a time when I used to do that. A time when TV was good.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I have noticed this to be true for any sort of media.

That does make sense, I know exactly what you mean.

To some degree, I use the techniques used for daily conversation to get stuff done. Conversation is a strong carrier for emotions - And guess what everybody is susceptible for, no matter if they are aware of it or not .

Depends on the show. If it is a show I like, then I will start to act more like the characters in the show.
I also tend to do this with people I work with; I tend to start imitating people for whatever reason.

A good portion of my mannerisms were stolen from Daniel Jackson of Stargate SG-1. Others were stolen from other characters.
