I have been physically threatened and hit by two family members repeatedly at home (they do not live here anymore however) and ridiculed throughout 1st college, for my weight, for being gay and for being mixed race.

I was emotionally bullied all through school. I was either that or ignored. I don't know what it was that made it happen. I wonder if my accent or mannerisms put my peers off.

When we first moved back to the US from overseas when I was eight, we were a military family, I thought people were treating me badly because of my accent. I have foreign parents as well so when I was little I had some of their accent. But looking back on it, I realize that is was because I was the weird Autistic.

I think I mainly got emotional bullying because eventually the other kids worked out that when they tried to hurt me physically, they got hurt more. Which may be why it took me so long to get a handle on my meltdowns- they were useful.
