So, it was recently claimed that aspies hate every single gaga song out there. While I understand that a majority would (Just as a majority of above-average intelligence adults do to socially distance themselves from the cultural associations of liking a "stupid teenage pop song".), is it really true that every aspie out there hates the melody to every gaga song? And, to distinguish the song's intrinsic worth from the "ret*d lyrics" that some use as the rationale for being an indiscriminate gaga hater, let's just focus on the melody, the non-verbal part of the song.

If you like ANY of the following song's melodies, please let me know. You can still hate the vast majority of her songs but still like at least one song's melody.

I LOVE all Gaga songs...including their melodies.

I like some of her music, but I wouldn't seek it out.

I've found what I've heard rather dull (didn't listen to the lyrics), so I have no desire to listen to more. I think that is a silly claim. Aspies don't all have the same taste.

I don't like any of the melodies all that much.

The fourth song isn't that bad, but it's still not my favourite.

By the way, where did you hear that all aspies hate all Lady Gaga songs? I don't think that's true, I don't like very much, but that doesn't mean that ALL aspies dislike her.

Same for me! And their lyrics!

People start to hate anything that's too popular, but Lady Gaga songs have a lot of merit both in melody and lyrics.

At first I thought they were mindless crap but now I see that they're genius.

Not necessarily on an emotional level but on an intellectual level (YES intellectual!).

She is a game changer.

I am a little monster and have no shame in admitting it cause she's a freaking genius.

I found "Bad Romance" to have a sort of hypnotic rhythm to it, but other than that I find that her songs are just like mainstream pop.

I have to add: for example, did you realize "Just Dance" is about someone predatorily taking sexual advantage of the narrator when she's drunk? It is a dark song disguised as a carefree jingle.

No. I don't like any of them. But then again, I am old and unhip.

Even though the "non-verbal part of the song" includes a lot more than just its melody, it's still awful. Yes, all of it.

Maybe this ... tolerable?

Really??
I don't have anything even close to that.
What I do have is a band I recorded a CD for a while back. They had this song about a girl falling through the ise of a lake. Written in a total up-beat happy-happy. The song is still about this one girl/woman ending up under the ice. Tragic. I love it.

I LOVE songs like that. Where the context and subtext, or however you'd call it, don't match. That's why I love "Death of an Interior Decorator" by Death Cab for Cutie and many others. What is the name of this song you recorded? Were you in the band?

I don't remember reading that Aspies HATE every single Lady Gaga song. I am not a fan, nor do I hate her. I like the melody of "Poker Face" it's pretty catchy. I can't listen to most modern music, pretty much anything modern pop/hip hop. The sound of the bass and the steady rhythm makes me feel hynotized and ill.

I just came in to say, no, I do not like Lady Gaga at all.
One it's not my type of music. The lyrics sound kind of empty.
Lastly, her fans annoy me.
