Are you bored easily?

I am. Even when I do something I really like I usually get bored very quickly... Does anyone know how to deal with that?

No. I'm not even sure what 'boredom' feels like. D:

I don't understand boredom. The only thing close to boredom I can remember feeling since my much younger years is when I am sick, or in a lot of pain. When I am under a great amount of distress, there are little or no things that can provide sufficient distraction from it; nothing is "interesting" enough during these times. And thus I become bored. I think.
I can become impatient... Or I can retreat into my mind to think about things if the things around me hold no active interest, but I would say I only feel boredom once or twice a year.
That sounds so weird to say, but it's true.

But let me tell you, when I do feel boredom, it is overwhelming. "I'm so bored it hurts," is how I would describe it. Lol.
I guess the infrequency of the feeling of boredom is largely due to the fact I don't actively seek out entertainment. I sort of just sit back and wait for it to come to me if it does. I am very passive, and easily entertained.

Usually I am not bored at all, in fact I normally have more to do than I can handle in twice the hours of a day. However, in recent months I am in an unusual situation in which I have become obsessed with an individual who is incapable of communicating with me (another Aspie). This has left me often feeling depressed to the point that even my own special interests mean nothing to me. This is the point at which boredom sets in. The interesting thing is that this boredom and my moodiness that caused it can ultimately be traced back to the NT trait of wanting to be more socially outgoing. Thus it is kind of ironic that only people bring pain and attempts at social endeavors bring boredom. Otherwise we are just fine by ourselves while totally engrossed in our own special interests and wondering where all the hours went.

As long as I'm free to do whatever I want (within reason), I will never be bored. The only time I'm ever bored is when I'm doing something like waiting in a line.

Sometimes I get bored, especially when it involves doing stuff I don't enjoy. But if I have time to pursue my special interests, I never get bored.

I hardly ever get bored. I have too much going on for me to get bored.

I get bored a lot because I have no friends, no social life, and no job.

More like total apathy. I never lack in activities to engage myself in, including daydreaming, but when I inexplicably lose interest in doing any of them, the resulting mindstate is... unpleasant. I have but two things to do in that situation... take a nap or drink coffee.

I don't get bored; I lose focus, get impatient, need to move around and bother a lot of people by not sitting still.
I constantly need to have visual/mental/kinesthetic stimulation. OK, maybe not constantly because I take my meds and can have days of feeling sluggish.
It used to feel like I was always bored but if I'm not focusing on an interest then I don't know what to do. I need a plan put it place for the day or I will just wander around aimlessly. Or sit and think in my imagination for hours.

I wonder what regular boredom feels like? You Know. It's the weekend, friends are busy, your brain isn't ADHD-addled and you want to do something for the day but can't think of what to do. I had an NT friend who would get bored a lot if he wasn't socialising with his friends. Now that is something that would bore me.

Now people that rarely get bored? That is an alien thing to me. Although.......if you didn't have a special interest you'd get bored, right?
