Would the creation of such a thread be acceptable?

Okay we discussed Sex Friends in another thread and it seems that many Aspies would prefer that to a more complex relationship. The idea would be to create a thread in the Adult forum which would work in the same way the dating or friendship thread does, aspies could meet aspies. Moderators, please let us know whether you would approve of the creation of such a thread, thanks.

The idea is to state age, gender, location and build, and who you are looking for (man/woman aged between so and so) however photographs would not be allowed (for obvious reasons) and members would get in touch with each other per PM if they want to know more.

Even that forum does not exist for hook-up purposes, so no, I doubt Alex or the mods would ever give your kind of suggestion much thought at all.

Well who knows, I mean I am sure many aspies would be happy to have a non complicated relationship where they can do the naughty with someone much like them.

Personally I have no objections to such a thread and I don't think it would be against the site rules. I'll see what the other Mods think. There may be unforeseen issues?

I think we just need to put in some strict rules and remind people to be careful before meeting someone for the first time. But this would be on the adult forum anyway and those using the thread would know what they are doing, right? Here's a suggestion as to the form that may be used by people in that thread:

There is the trouble. None of that fits the purpose of WP and Alex could become liable for resultant conflict or harm.

That is a good point Lee. Another issue has occurred to me too. After 7 days members would be unable to change or remove their entry from such a thread if they changed their mind.

Hmmmm. Another thought too - it could attract predators to join WP specifically for this purpose. Such people could possibly pose more of a danger than members who use WP for reasons other than getting layed!

Technical restrictions such as minimum 50 posts are a non-starter. They would require changes to the program code for the site by Alex the site owner, and the odds of him doing that are non-existent.

one problem might be ummmm, the huge response the females may receive (don't want to make an assumption but jusging from people's posts on WP it may be the case). it could be extremely overwhelming. and to be honest i don't think that very many women would post in there anyways. so it would end up being mostly a venue for men (hmmm wait, isn't Aspie Affection like that?).

i also noticed that in the love & dating meetup thread, people post a "profile" then months later they may no longer be looking for anything, but their profile lingers. so the people post an update about their situation (as it is too late to edit the post) but it is buried in the thread.

The real issue here is the simple fact of hookups just not being the purpose of WP. Beyond that, however, mere disclaimers are insufficient for abdication of all responsibility.

Bottom line: Facilitations of hookups can only leave anyone and everyone subject to at least some kind of potential harm or trouble, and WP voluntarily exists for a purpose completely opposite of any such dynamic.

Right, rather than quibble over this issue, we've had time to ponder the issues and I'm afraid the answer is no. The main reason for this is that it may attract sexual predators to join WP specifically to take advantage of what they may view as vulnerable easy targets. Such a thread would be too much of a can of worms and expose the site and Alex to legal issues too, despite the disclaimer mentioned above - I'm no lawyer but unless such things are done with proper legal knowledge a real lawyer could likely drive a coach and horses through them in the event of someone being victimised. If people want to hook up for casual sex I'm sure there must be websites specifically for that purpose anyway.
