I was just wondering, why is there no section for a date of birth in our profiles? I think it would be helpful in determining how old someone is, especially in light of our recent thread about approaching younger members in an inappropriate manner.

I think it could be useful if nobody uses this information inappropriately.

I agree. When I first signed up, I looked all over people's profiles looking for ages. Not trying to be prejudiced, just that I'd like to know who's in my age range and who has more or less experience in life than me.

I agree it would be a useful addition - this is now being addressed, and should be sorted out soon. :)

However when it is sorted out we will all have to actually add our ages to our profile as we didn't get asked them when we joined.

True, but if we make it known to everyone that the section has been added, people will probably put it in. The "Ages" thread does seem pretty popular, after all.

And Duncvis, thanks :D .

Noted - please bear in mind there may be one or two minor glitches at present, as the site is currently migrating to new servers.

Thanks

Yes, why isn't there?

It should be an option thing, If people don't want to put their age, they shouldn't have to.

By putting your age the site shouldn't be held responsible for people looking it up and messaging you.
