What would the term be for a biological female that identifies more as being male than female that really desires to be a male but chooses not to due to some complicating issues?

I think you'd still be considered transgendered. I don't think all transgendered people necessarily want to have a sex change operation.

Yah, transgender covers a very wide range.

I thought that was a Tomboy ? not being close minded, but its hard to tell without knowing these "complicating issues?"

There's a writer named Poppy Z. Brite who claims to be a gay man in a woman's body. She hasn't taken any steps to become a man physically, and she said that she prefers the term "non-operative transsexual."
