Can't wait to see this film, and I'm in my 30's!

Anyone remember the 80's cartoon?

I want to see it but can't begin to fathom how Zooey Deschanel fits into all this.

edit: favorite character: Piglet probably! Or maybe Tigger! Or Kanga!

I do not like Winnie the Pooh or any of his friends. I think they have an abussive /dependant /not healthy relationship. And I do not stand the way Pooh talks, the way Tiger is always taking advantage of his "friends", or Piglet's personality. Thank God my daughter had a very short Pooh phase and she does not stand it now, either. I guess the answer is no, I am not watching the movie.

I'm not really a Winnie the Pooh fan, but I'd like to see this movie just because it uses traditional animation techniques rather than CGI. As amazing as CGI is, there is something about traditional animation that is very appealing. It's like buying vinyl records instead of CDs.

As for favorite characters, I'd have to go with Eeyore. I don't know the characters very well, but I think I identify with Eeyore more than the others.

I plan to see this with a girl I know from church when it comes out(from my Sunday School class and Bible Study group on Wednesdays; I think there might be something between us cuz she likes to rub on me, so I'm gonna see if she'll accept my calling it a "date")

I'm 23, by the way.

I'll probably see this movie when it comes out on DVD, for old time's sake. (I used to love the reruns of the 80s cartoon when I was a child).

My favorite character is Christopher Robin. My mom often compares me to him because, like Christopher, I have an elaborate imaginary world filled with imaginary friends. Even though it's never explicitly stated in Winnie the Pooh that Winnie, the other animals and the Hundred Acre Wood are products of Christopher's imagination, I think it's safe to assume that that is the case; especially at the end of the original movie when Christopher says he is leaving the Hundred Acre Wood because he is going to start school.

Roo is my favorite.

In the new "My Friends Tigger & Poo", I always assumed this Darby girl is Christopher Robin's daughter and he's passed on his imaginary world onto her. I espicaly like how Darby's puppy, Buster is included in the adventures. It could be Buster is just another stuffed animal or imaginary friend but I like to think he is a real dog and Darby's only flesh and blood friend. When I was a kid, my pets were the only flesh and blood creatures allowed into my fantasy worlds. I admit I've only seen this cartoon one or two times but was is the impression I got. Perhaps Darby is really a LF autistic girl staring into a snowglobe of the 100 acere wood. Perhaps Christopher Robin was too and this leaving the 100 Acre wood to start school was really just a methaphore for him becoming more HF. I actualy think this about a lot of cartoons such as Sonic X. I admit, I put too much thought into things I shouldn't and not enough thought into things I should but as Albert Enstine said, imagination is better than knowledge.

I was always an Eeyore fan and still am! I always felt soo sorry for him how his tail would always fall off and none of his friends bothered to or were around to put it back on or fix it better. I wanna give him a hug. Ohhhh Eeyore!

I haven't seen it yet, since I don't have any children and the last movie I saw was the new Harry Potter movie. I don't really have a favorite character, but I do remember "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" from the '80s. I'm glad that the new film is a more traditional story using drawn characters instead of CGI. Plus, I don't like the way Disney characters look when they are computerized. They look weird. 8O I also don't know why they replaced Christopher Robin in the new version. It's not Winnie the Pooh without him.
