First, don't think of it in half-molecules, use O instead of O2, I've only seen that in Inorganic, so it's fairly uncommon (O is also a highly reactive species seen in plasma physics). Next, only use a - symbol when denoting a charge, not that it continues on in the next line (the fact there's a next line's a pretty good indication there's a next line

N2 + O2 -> 2NO
2NO + O2 -> 2NO2
2NO2 + O2 -> 2NO3
2NO3 + H2 -> 2HNO3
Look up the heat of reactions for each step. For example, for A + B -> C, deltaH = -12 J/mole, and if your case is C -> A + B, deltaH is then +12 J/mole.
If you see a very large negative heat of reaction in comparison to the others, this means a great deal of energy is required for the reaction to progress, and is therefore not likely to progress that way without a catalyst.
