Has anyone here ever had a ghost encounter and have a a story to tell?
I love ghost stories, especially real ones they`re so entertaining!
I`m not sure if I had any though I think I might have.

All "ghost stories" that I've personally investigated have been either made up, apocryphal, or the teller had mis-understood what he or she had experienced. Otherwise, I have no direct experience with "ghosts".

I suggest checking all "ghost stories" with the Snopes database.

A few times. Once in the basement of a theater I could feel a child's hand grab my arm. The only people with me were all adults. Story has it a little girl was raped and murdered in that very theater. Another encounter happened when I was around 8 at a historical museum (I can't remember the name at the moment.) I was in a stall in the girl's bathroom. When it came time to unlock the stall door would not open. It was as if someone was physically pushing the door on the other side. Nobody, but myself was in the bathroom at that time. After a few tries the door finally opened and I ran out. (Note: the door was fully functional. I had no problems opening and closing the door prior to getting trapped.) Apparently the museum has a resident ghost that likes to pull pranks on people.

I visited my two Grandparents one time, and the three of us just happened to be awake in the middle of the night. Some odd feeling was keeping me awake for an hour or so. A rifle went off at some point, and we could make out some shocked girl yell out the name Kimmy twice. Then I heard my Grandparents mumble in the other room, sounding concerned, because the rifle sounded like a close neighbor. This was in Crockett, Texas.

Well, it got my nerves for a short while, and I just fell asleep. Skipping to years later, I spent a night or two at that same house, and my Unkle, Mother, Aunt, and Sister were there this time, but not Grandmother. This one night, and just after her funeral, I woke up needing the toilet, and came back to use it. My mother and sister were in a deep sleep, and my Unkle was in the room behind the kitchen. The kitchen was right there next to where we were sleeping.

I heard this young female say from behind the counter top "evil... evil..", but she sounded happy, like she wanted to tease someone. Her sound was much stronger than my Grandmother's would have been during her life, because when Grandmother had my Aunt's birth, she screamed really hard and damaged her vocal chords from there. Yes it said makes no sence, but that's what I heard anyway.

In this apartment, I only saw a shadow figure once. It was about five feet, looking around the corner into my room from the dining spot. It was daylight, and the window is across my room from the short hallway. The sun light goes down this, so there was no reason for an actual humanoid to have shades to the point of my not seeing a face, or skin tone, or anything of the kind. It didn't scare me at all either. It's rather boring here, in fact.

Oh yeah... There is a hospital by I-10 near here that I went to, to look for work. I had to cheat and park in the employee parking space, because I couldn't find any room. It wasn't very crouded in the employee area anyway. Well, there was this sky bridge I walked across, because the garage was on the other side of one road from the hospital. I wanted to take a breath for a moment, and looked back down the hallway for a moment. There was this pair of feet like they belonged to someone who would have been walking down the hallway for a short moment, and then dissapeared. Yep, just feet. Sorry, this is all I have.

I thought I saw a white figure that was about six feet tall when I was younger. It drifted half-way past my door when it seemed to turn towards me, then it stayed in that position for a few seconds before changing to its original position and drifting away. It seemed to have a thick body and a long head but nothing else.

My school's training ship, the Kennedy, has a reputed ghost living aboard. Nicknamed "Scary Larry," the ghost is believed to be the spirit of Rodney Morrison, a freshman cadet who was killed in a fire aboard one of our previous training ships, the Bay State IV. Interestingly, Rodney's ghost didn't remain with the Bay State, but has moved aboard each of our training ships since.

When I was about 20 years old I was looking after someone's house while they were away for the night. As I lay in a bed, lights out, I was listening to the zipper on my overnight bag running its tracks. Didn't look, hid my head under the blanket.

My cousins were certain they had a little girl ghost living in their closet.
And my aunt would see her to, she had apparently been living there since their grandma lived in the house. I am not certain what the exact story was, but you ask them now and they still tell you it was true. And they are married with children now...
But I tried and never saw her...

I often wish I were a ghost, then I could wander around all night long.

And once when my dad was a kid, about 8, he was standing on the road. And suddenly he heard a voice in his head saying step back. He turned, no one was there, but he was kind of spooked out and stepped back. A few seconds later a motorcycle flew of the road towards him, had he not stepped back he would have probably died. He always thought it was his grandma's voice.

Either way, I am glad he stepped back. =)

The only thing I've ever seen which was freaky/weird was watching an episode of Ghosthunters where this weird thing rolled into view, got up, and ran away. I dont know wtf it was, but it was freaky!

Overall though I'm thoroughly skeptical of "ghosts".
