Because I have realized that aspergers is a disorder and I no longer want to have anything to do with a website that hurts the people afflicted with this disorder by saying that there is nothing wrong with them. It's also hurts the family and friends of those who suffer from aspergers, since sufferers now believe there is nothing wrong with them and do no try to change for the better.

I should however thank WP for two things: 1) Making me realize that aspergers is a disorder, even if it ironically wasn't intentional. 2) Making me realize how foolish it would be to date a man with aspergers. I used to be open to the idea, but WP, along with some experiences in real life, opened my eyes to the potential risks.

Goodbye forever.

That's not true. There are as many different perspectives of Asperger's here as there are people affected with it - some claim it's a disability, some not - depending on their character, their experiences and so on.

I'm not afflicted with anything. I have AS but I don't see it as an infliction or an illness. Good bye anyways.

Nobody gets a reward without atleast some risk. May I ask why you found men with aspergers such a turn off?

Op, too late. I guess you are gone forever

Generally, usually, people who make a post like this, tend to return... I speak from personal experience, lol, and from observing the forums over the years.
However, if you do not return, well, in that case there is no point my even posting a goodbye and good luck.

Also, just because people with Aspergers do not wish to spend their lives viewing themselves as 'afflicted' or defective, does not mean they are not working on improving themselves, the same as even NTs often have things about themselves they need to improve upon to better themselves.

For what it's worth, I don't 'suffer' from Asperger's. I have it, and it affects me, but I live my life just fine, thank you. Many here do as well. But by all means, leave me to my curse of higher than average IQ and the ability to focus on a single subject and master it and living a life free from the emotional crises that send NT's to their graves early.

 True.

I claimed to have left back in 2008/2009. I disappeared for a while, but now I just come back every now and then. :)

I can't understand the OP's perspective at all. But take care! Hope you find whatever it is you're looking for.

Darn, that was unfortunate. :( A member (and a pretty girl at that) that lives not far from where I live. Most members are on other continents, but this was one that I might actually have been able to meet and talk to in person one day. She seemed to have such nice opinions about things. :)
