The earliest special interest I remember is Winnie the Pooh. I had this interest between the ages of 2-4. For some reason, I didn't really have much of a special interest between the ages of 5 and 7. (In fact, I don't remember having a special interest at all when I was 5, except, maybe, when I just about to turn 6).

What was your earliest special interest?

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from when I was 2-3. It was that "Heigh Ho" song on my Disney's Sing Along tape.

My first ever special interest was when I was 12 years old, and it was Spanish. It became my favourite subject at school, and I really wanted to speak Spanish, and I got obsessed with Spanish people, and I really desperately wanted to move to Spain. I even pretended I was Spanish when I played imaginary games, and I done a very good accent.

Sadly that all faded away about a year later, when my next special interest came into place.

Playing music and watching the reels spin on an old-style reel-to-reel tape recorder at the age of 2 or 3. I have a picture to prove how much I enjoyed it. Music and sound reproduction equipment obsession was about to commence. :D

Cars. I can still identify make and year of most American cars of the period 1956-1959. Having "grown up" during the tail fin era, I just couldn't accept the appearance of the 1960 cars and I never had much of an interest after that. Still wish I had the red and black 1959 Plymouth Fury I drove in high school, though!

Another dinosaurs fan here, although apparently I was a major fan of Thomas the Tank Engine in my earlier years :)
