that is like comparing oranges and Apples
one is a PC and the other is not.

The main question do you like PC or Mac, What do you need it for.

I am a PC guy and I do own a Alienware and I like it even though the older model I have does not age well it is still kicking. The only Mac I have is a Apple II/GS

Groan...

It's all x86 these days so the only difference is the price and styling. No contest there really.

thanks for killing the thread:L
and you've missed my point, both are the elite of the elite.
both have superior graphics, CPU's and other features, do which would you choose?

I run OSX, win 7, Linux all on the same pc. Personally all I see mac and alienware pcs as, is expensive bundles of parts I can buy cheaper separately.

Sorry :(

If I had to choose it would be a mac because they look cooler and support at least some foss :D

an apple device is the software elite, not hardware.
opposite for alienware, they dont care about software but they give you hardware pushed beyond it's limits of what is comercially available (no reason to buy an alienware if you dont get it OC'ed by them as well)
