In the original concept the movie was going to have an all-cat cast and be called The Fast and the Furriest but they couldn't find any cats willing to fast so they had to make changes.

"Star Wars" wasn't originally going to be a science fiction film. George Lucas had this plan to film a bunch of minor Hollywood stars butchering each other for real in a battle royale, but his lawyers told him he wouldn't get away with it.
