Hello all, Greetings, and How are ya?!

My name's Amy, and as you can tell, I am new to WrongPlanet.net. I've heard about it before, and it looks like a fabulous site from what I've seen so far. I can't wait to see more!

A little about me...I was diagnosed with AS/PDD when I was 10 years old. I'm now 21 and a senior in my last semester of college. I'm an English major (I'm hoping to become a writer once I get out of here--I think I'm going to need a lot of luck, what with today's job market and all.). I'm also doing an internship for GRASP (The Global and Regional Asperger Syndrome Partnership) at the moment, which I guess is fairly obvious from my signature. I don't know if any of you are familiar with GRASP, but it really is a terrific organization--Michael John Carley is the Executive Director (and an Aspie, along with his 8-year-old son). He's a great guy. http://www.grasp.org is the web address if you'd like to check it out.

Well, I'm going to head on over to the picture-posting thread now and throw my mug up there with everyone else's. I'm really glad to be here, and I hope to get to know you guys well! :D

Welcome to WP.

The zombie HP characters kinda scared me, but it's a cool idea all the same. I might draw some pictures of zombie zelda.

Actually, they look more like goths to me... where did you get the pic?

If you are an HP fan, i can give you a really cool site to go to...

www.mugglenet.com

This site rocks! Check out their fun list "103 Ways to Annoy, Harass, or Generally Scare Lord Voldemort (Surefire ways to get you killed, or at least Crucio'd up the block and back)" It is so funny, i was nearly in tears when i reached #103...

Welcome to WP!

Hello Amy,

It would appear that you have stolen my username format. I will be sending my lawyers to sue you shortly. Welcome to WrongPlanet.

...Heh.

renegade - Thanks for the warm welcome! :)

Tere - Thank you! :D I haven't been feeling so positive as of late, but I'm glad I made a good impression on you. :)

Mel - Thank you...LoL yes, I love my Goth!HP avatar very much. I think Ron and Harry look especially sexay like that.

Bec - Indeed I am a fan of HP. I have not yet read the books (I really want to, I swear!), but I have seen all three movies. Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite so far, even though we didn't get to see "Luscious" Lucius Malfoy! Yes, I think Lucius is gorgeous LoL, which probably is a little weird to you...I also think Snape is hot as well. I have such a thing for Alan Rickman LoL

hale_bopp - Thank you for the welcome. And as Archmage noted, the appearance of the HP actors in my avatar is meant to be goth, rather than zombie. That's awesome that you might draw some pictures of Zombie Zelda--make sure you share them with all of us! :)

Archmage - Mugglenet is indeed a terrific site--very resourceful for the fledgling HP fan! As for my avatar, someone on Livejournal provided me with the large size version of the pic, which I have right here:

JayShaw - Tis a free country, my friend...LoL. You go and send those lawyers, and I'll take care of them. Oh, and thank you for the welcome. ;)

Thanks for the intro to GRASP ~ it's a great site (I presume still in it's infancy) ~ there are some really interesting articles and sound files.

What a fantastic idea though ~ to have the organisation so driven by AS people. Often these charities and support groups can seem a bit patronising but not GRASP.

I wish we had something like that over here in the UK.

By the way ~ welcome to WP it's great here too.

Yeah, I guess I couldn't tell from the avatar.. but the big picture makes them look semi goth semi punk. Pretty cool.

I have been visiting WrongPlanet for only a few days but it feels comfortable.

Good luck with the writing.
