I would like to know why girls keep staring at me. At school when I look up from my studies, there's sometimes 5 girls just staring at me, it's really annoying.

(Here's what I look like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/eggreguyou ... otostream/)

I do not know if I am attractive or not, so I honestly can't say that the girls look at me for that.

Can anyone tell me why they stare at me, and if you want to you can tell me if I am attractive or not, I wont get pissed at whatever you say, so be honest. (I have always been curious about what other people think about me  )

you're a nice-looking young fellow. that alone should not cause staring. sometimes teenagers (girls included) are just plain rude.

In my observation, females stare at what another person is doing, rather than what another person looks like.

Are you doing anything other than reading/typing when you're studying which may be attracting attention? Stims?

You remind me of Jack Black:

I don't think so, if I do then I don't notice it. I'm usually trying my best to avoid eye contact with anyone except the teacher and I always have a Fedora sitting on my desk, that might be unique but I don't think it would explain why they do it everyday.

Other than being positive about it, who knows maybe they stare at him because they think he is ugly? lol joking

Maybe they look at you because you are similar to that famous guy.

lol! that's what I was thinking. But why everyday!
I've also been compared to the actor that played The Last Airbender (when I was younger) and also Johnny Depp.
(Those pictures were when I was 16)

Well, I'm a guy, but I think Jack Black is rather handsome. He's probably not attractive to some females, but certainly to others he is.

As to your original query....to my mind, there are three ways you can consider the staring: These females find something odd about you; they find something fascinating about you; or you can simply ignore it.

Since nobody can read their minds, there is no reason to believe the first unless you're into self-pity. Either of the remaining two choices is better than believing the negative.

Avoiding their eye contact might be the cause. They have probably never before encountered a guy their age who doesn't meet their gaze. Maybe they think if they stare long enough, you will return their gaze. Since it is a group of girls, it is probably now conscious, even if it weren't originally. Maybe they want to see which of them you will look at, as well as your facial expression when you do look back.

Hmm... From a psychological point of view, my avoiding eye contact probably confuses them because all the guys in the school probably gawk at them like teenagers like to do. Then the girls would probably feel somewhat dominant because of no eye contact and so then they continue... ?

Very good theories but that is probably giving me too much credit lol :) .
I don't know how to feel emotion, so my facial is always the same and when I notice that the girls are staring then I look into each of there eyes for half-a-millisecond and then return to my work. :?

It's a futile exercise to try to figure out why in my opinion. If he really wants to know, he should ask them. For all he knows, it could be the Bella/Edward thing going on. There's a scene in that book where Bella, before she hooks up with the Vampire, is always staring at Edward. Just sayin'.
