I have a hell of a time reading and spelling. Was dxed dyslexic before the asd dx,
one thing lead to the next. I was about seven or eight when I started to use only
my right hand for writing, probably because most kids in class were right handed.
never really remembered this before I read that ambidextarity can be common with
dyslexia. I can write equaly well with both hands. I now think it is more common with
the Autism spectum

I try to keep the ambidextarity to myself because I have read and also
have met people who think it is do to having brain damage.

Again, I encourage all to look at the thread "Dyslexic mistake."

Dyslexic and have traits of dyspraxic but not sure if that is true or not.

I have difficulty with:

-Telling right from left
- Used to have speech problems and a delay
- mix up i and e in sentences.
- Sloppy handwriting but legible.
- Difficulty with parking.
- On the road, I swear people are about to hit me in their cars or I freak out if someone is walking on the sidewalk as I think I'm too close to them.
- Used to flip d b, write c backwards amongst some other letters
- flip numbers 52 turns into 25. Usually if it's a phone number, it's the last two digits of the number that is flipped or the beginning of the last four
- If I am not concentrating, I used to throw away silverware that was in one hand while putting what was supposed to be the trash in the sink. This week my mind was on food and coffee. I wasn't concentrating and I pulled a bowl out of the dishwasher and poured my coffee in the bowl which was supposed to be for soup.

Not sure if this is dyspraxia.

Dyspraxia is like poor control of your movements.

I get that way with cars too. It's not always present though.

Waht are you tlkniag auobt?

Dlsxiyea waht?

I d'not tnihk I hvae it.

On a less assholey note, if you want to find out what percentage of people here have these, you might want to add a "none of the above" option. As it is without that option you'd have no way to tell if people simply didn't read the post, or whether they don't have the condition, and so it's going to be hard to get that prevalence rate data.

I guess I'm going to have to continually type this. Go to the thread "Dyslexic mistake." I'm aware that I screwed up.
