I have to cats, and sometimes one of them is a b***h to the other one (i.e bitting, attacking, growling, etc...). How can I punish my cat if he acts this way? I tried grabbing him by the neck skin (like a mother and her kittens) and shouting NO BAD KITTY but I'm not sure this work.

Either flick their ears (That's what their mother does) or flick water onto them (just a small amount) neither of these hurts the animal.

I don't think you can stop them fighting with the others though. These mainly keep them off the bench etc.

Or go pssst really loudly at them. It scares them without hurting them, and they either run away or freeze in place.

my sister's younger alpha cat kept trying to drive out the older established cat. each time we'd catch it misbehaving towards the older cat we'd put it in a cage [in the colder months] or squirt it with water but good, with a good soaking outside [in warmer weather]. this would work for a few weeks until it forgot the discomfort, and would have to be repeated repeatedly. cats are a piece of work.

omgs, I have this problem too with two of my three cats. The oldest (Winchester The Mean) bites the middle cat (Obsidian) and then she bites the baby (Sterling). Problem for me is, they run and hide after they do this and I can't get too them physically (because of packed boxes and furniture) to spray them with water or they're next to something I don't want to get wet. It drives me crazy and you have my sympathy. :(

If my cats are fighting, I split them up. Usually the aggressor goes in to the designated 'naughty room', which is a small area between two doors at the entranceway to my residence, like a closet, for 10 minutes. When thay have done their time, I stroke them and welcome them back in to the main area. I would just put them in a cat-carrier if I had one. I had previously been using the water squirting method, but read that a cat's eyes were not neutral pH, and felt that spraying them with water may possibly be equivalent to my being sprayed with a non-neutral solution.

Water is fine. It only hurts their pride...

I've never had to resort to anything but words and sounds. The sound must be different and express your intentions. I've found that you must use the same sound each time. the most effective have been. "AARRRGG" "AAAHHH" " and "GRRR". sorry its hard to describe. Clapping your hands also works.

Also...don't rely on the above alone, get up and move towards them in a stern "I dont like that' approach" dont pick sides either, let them figure out who is the alpha.

The main thing is you have to make them understand and complicated instructional phrases don't work.

Is being the alpha means being an ass*ole and bitting the other cat for no reason?

And does shouting my cat name in an angry voice and saying NO! count?

The best thing ever. Not only does it work but it also lowers the risk of cat getting revengeful.

I would NEVER punish my kitty. My parents say that's why she's so mischevious, because she knows that I get mad whenever they yell at here, and as long as I'm there, she can get away with anything.

Although I have read that Alexander Dumas held a trial in his house for his cat, when he had eaten all his birds. The cat was sentenced to five years in the monkey's cage. He got out without bail when Dumas went bankrupt.
