Hello. Is anyone aware of any organizations who might assist me in procuring a new vehicle? I have no equity and feel that I am down to the "bottom of the barrel". I am supposed to begin employment soon ,and without a personal vehicle , many complications may impede me. I tend to think that every negative event that happens will ultimately result in a positive. Perhaps there may be a site where I can fund raise or maybe a non profit organization? Any advice would be welcome. Thank you.

oh how terrible. have you thought about actually getting your car back, instead of looking for an organization to provide you with a car?

I have reported it stolen. It is uninsured. If recovered I will have to have it insured as well as pay the company who towed it. I estimate it will be at least $200.00 dollars U.S.. It may be possible to borrow the funds from people I know though none of our economic states are great. I will post if I learn anything new. I do hope I get it back.

Why didn't you get it insured in the first place? :(

I had it insured initially. Insurance costs money which most of the time requires an income. I have no income at present. I am supposed to resume employment in the near future. The absence of a vehicle is certain to make this situation more complex.

I don`t live in America but I doubt if there are orgs which provide free cars, your best bet is to get a job near your home and save up for another car.

I agree that would be the best bet if anyone is hiring. My mind clicks on to overdrive in many situations though so I am somewhat limited. I feel that I am between an immense boulder and a very deep hole. I will climb and chisel my way free eventually though.

Was it a 1998 Taurus? Because if it was I didn't steal it.

Mine was a 99.

(Note: I'm only assuming those exist)

I guess I will explain why alot people do not have auto insurance in the US

1) Its expensive.
a) due to law suites
b) expensive tv commericals
c) fake accidents for money.

So many people have zero insurance and far less have full insurance. They have $10,000
or so to cover others.

To get tags, etc you need insurance in most places but you will find companies that will
sale 30 day policies. So you buy the 30 day thing to get your tags , etc and then in
30 days you hope you never get stopped.

Insuranced can be extremely high I have heard of $300 per month for some people.
Thats alot money for a poor person.

I found my car. I began a new job today and had to purchase a phone. So I drive up to the phone place a couple blocks away. Rather than take the regular entrance I decided to go around the back way. So I turn onto the street to go the back way. My friend who is in the passenger seat says to me, "It would be crazy if we saw your car". At that very moment I took that as an opportunity to "see" my car. I look to the left and lo and behold, there is my car parked on a side street in front of a big house. I tell him to "watch my back" as I get out and reclaim my vehicle. Returned home safely and am very relieved. The most peculiar thing is that within 1 second of him making the statement, my car appeared. Less than a second. This to me reinforces my already deep beliefs about how we relate to the Universe around us.

Crazy. That's what I pay in 6 months for my car, an 11 year old Volvo.

This isn't my Volvo but it looks exactly the same:
