I'm very interested to know what other people experience of their, sometimes comfusing, emotional needs. I have always vascilated between and been confused by my contrary emotional needs. I'll try to be more specific by asking a question:

Even though "we" (apologies for the generalisation) have issues with the levels of intimacy that most people enjoy and require for a satisfying life, do you think we still require some level of emotional connection?

This has confounded me forever. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Like I said, I vascilate between anxiety-causing company which I just grin and bear because on some level I need it, then I react to my alone space and feel somewhat lonely but relaxed. There is obviously some emotional need there but the body just cannot handle the physical proximity.

I'm not sure I really got to the heart of what I really want to ask.

:D

Do you know any aspies in your city? Have you tried socializing with them?
You certainly seem like you need to be with people, but don't seem to be able to stand NTs because of a large difference in mental wavelength.
