I got a message from that username telling me to e-mail a Yahoo address because she- if it's even a she- "had much to discuss with" me. When I went to the profile, it said the account had just been made today. Has anyone else received a message from this person?

That sounds like a scam - raise the issue with a moderator and they won't bother you again.

Thank you. This person also introduces itself as "Ms karen", as opposed to just Karen.

Yeah, they're usually obvious to spot - someone who doesn't have any posts or joined recently PMing random people should sound off alarm bells straight away!
