I don't eat toast too much. But at home I usually just put butter on it. But at a restaurant I usually put jelly on it.

A little bit of butter and cinnamon/brown sugar mix. Makes delicious cinnamon toast.

I like European butter on my toast, and it better be made with some decent bread from a bakery, not from a store shelf!
