stay intact for millions of years and caveman fossils for hundreds of thousands of years but living people get osteoperosis.

Why?

Because some people have a calcium and vitamin d deficiency in their diets. Go outside enough and drink lots of milk. ;)

Bones undergo the process of fossilisation and turn into fossils.

After death the soft tissue rots and leaves just the bones, under some conditions these are buried under sediment and do not decompose the normal way, instead the bone material slowly get replaced by minerals from the surrounding sediment.

A fossil is a rock formed in the shape of a bone or shell etc, a fossil is not the bone itself.
