My answer would be yes. Most normal people I ask take a while to think of an answer, and it's never a solid answer. As someone who is having a difficult time understanding the difference of legality and social perception. Rarely, if I mention I am in the military, someone might tell me my actions are wrong, or I'm supporting a bad cause... etc. Unfortunately my answer is never understood clearly. I think if it's not illegal and it's good money so why does it matter? Of course I tell them something like I believe I'm defending america, or doing my part. Anyway, I have asperger's, I'm 22, and my question to fellow aspies is if someone said you can have $1,000 every 15 days, and all you had to do was change your external views to pro choice or something. Something that you would have to tell everyone outside of your family that you believe in, but your family would know the truth, would you do it? I realize this is controversial, but I don't know whether or not this will offend anybody(should go without saying in this forum, but I digress) and I apologize in advance if it does, but I want you to ask questions if I'm not making sense.

You mean would I pretend to support something I'm against, or not for, for money? Why not?

I could use the cash.

Telling people I'm for or against something won't change anything anyway. It's not like if I say I'm pro-life when I'm actually pro-choice that laws will change. If I tell people that I don't support gay marriage when I actually do, nobody is going to make a law banning it, oh wait, they already did that didn't they? Nothing I say to anybody will change what others do or feel, so sure, I'd do it. I'm not that influential anyway. I have yet to perfect my mind control device.

I wouldn't say it's a price on morality so much as it's a price on personal image. Would I, for a price, make others see me as someone I'm not.

Yeah, I'll do it. When's my check coming?

Frances

If someone gave me TEN thousand dollars every fifteen days for pretending to agree with him, I still wouldn't do it.

It is what advertisers do.
Pay people and various stars money to say wonderful things about their product.

Anecdotal dialogue...

Churchill: "Madam, would you sleep with me for five million pounds?"

Socialite: "My goodness, Mr. Churchill… Well, I suppose… we would have to discuss terms, of course…"

Churchill: "Would you sleep with me for five pounds?"

Socialite: "Mr. Churchill, what kind of woman do you think I am? Why, the very idea..."

Churchill: "Madam, we’ve already established the kind of woman you are. Now we are haggling about the price."

(This is a very old joke where the participants vary dramatically from each telling. It’s very unlikely though not impossible that the joke originated from Sir Winston Churchill.)

I think y'all are confusing morality with OPINIONS here.

Opinions are like elbows & all that...the morality a person has is only truly expressed by their actions.

Which is why "politicians" are all about to get ROASTED. Their actions (or LACK of morality) are showing and having real consequences for the little people. The freely express their "opinions" at election time or whenever they want good poll #'s.

No I couldn't do it. It makes me feel all tensed up at the thought of pretending to be something i'm not. I'm naturally a bad liar anyway.

I would make a lousy salesman.

I think that because i've spent so much of my life forming my identity and my morals and defending my beliefs that I couldn't deny that journey or who i've become just to gain some money.
