I am curious about the Circadian rhythms of many of the posters here.

So what is your preferred sleep pattern?

Some clarification of the terms:

Nocturnal active during the night
Diurnal active in the daytime
Crepuscular active in the twilight, that is during dawn and dusk.

I am a Daywalker, live by day but prefer the night.

Nocturnal. I like the calm that the night brings, the darkness and quiet is soothing to me.

Nocturnal, forced to function during the day and I'm not happy about it. Meh. I'd prefer if everything started after noon.

I picked nocturnal but wasn't sure which one fit really. I was going to say crepuscular, because I love twilight, but I hate getting up early. I'd rather be asleep at dawn. I like to sleep around 2am-10am.

I used to have a really terrible time with my sleep cycles, I called it chasing myself around the clock.

Diurnal when I have things to do during the day (ie. the school year).

Nocturnal when I don't.

When left to myself (e.g. during the summer), I start having 26-27h cycles, so I end up sometimes sleeping at day, sometimes at night, it rotates through a week or two. When I have slept enough, I work most efficiently in the morning, but I still prefer the night.

Although I enjoy dusk and twilight, I don't recall having ever specifically Crepusculed.

I was leaning towards 'crepuscular' but picked 'weird hours' because I'm not consistent in it.

Lately I've been getting up at 4 am every day, then going to bed exhausted around 7-ish. Used to be I'd get up same time as everyone else and stay up late into the night many nights. Other times I'd keep normal hours.

"Nocturnal, Diurnal or Crepuscular"

Jeez, you just happened to know of one of my favorite word groups in the English language, didn't you? :p

I also like the word 'matutinal'. :)

I'm mostly active during the daytime. That's when I function at my best.

I just sleep when I'm tired. I'm kind of forced into staying awake during the day, due to school and all, but on breaks anything goes.
