I'm obsessed with people obsessed with Russia and Computers.

j/k. Science fiction. Funny thing is, it took me years to realise not everyone else is interested in it.

I don't have any obsessions or special interests. I honestly wish I did though, atleast it would give me something to do with myself.

I was born a Kinks Fan and I'm going to die a Kinks Fan. Guess what my special interest is.

Fiction writing, fountain pens, letterpress printing, typography, World War Two (especially the Blitz and the Holocaust), history in general (with special focus on certain places / periods, as Middle Ages, Rome, Roman Britain...), cats, ways perception is affected and manipulated...

Those tend to be the main ones. I've had various other shorter lived obsessions, or sub-obsessions that tie in to one of those main ones.

I know, right?
Strangly enough, that last interest is one of my more private ones. I know better than to drop it casually into conversations. :P
Although, at college once, I did end up giving a loooong monologue to one of my friends about my favourite murder cases.

My obsession was my girlfriend but now that we're broken up I'm falling back into some of the obsessions I had before her that my interest had dwindled in when I became obsessed with her like Family Guy & pop & comedy music but those obsessions are not as strong as they were before. I'm hoping to find another girl to become my new obsession

I was wondering why you stole my name... It looks as though we joined on the same day, which is weird. I can't say how that happened...

But my usual online identity begins with "Wandering" - I was still coming to terms with the fact I'd figured out I was an aspie after fifty one years, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to be too publicly tied to this site. So I chose a more generic variant, "theWanderer", if I recall correctly, because the software wouldn't allow me to insert a space between the words (I'm not certain of that, it is just the best I can recall - I never use an underscore in my screen names, because I hate having to type it).

I figured I'd check the date you joined, and it looks like you actually signed up the same day I did. Which is weird. But I haven't even come up with a theory as to why and how that would happen. It may just be one of those things, like The Wreck of the Titan.

Edited to add: Okay, that weirdness was just a software glitch. Now, that I've posted, the dates are showing differently. It appears I did sign up after you did - but since I never use an underscore, I wouldn't have even noticed there was a user with a similar name. As for why I chose the name, I explained that above.

I wouldn't call it an obsession, but I'm very much into history. I especially like smaller merchant republics, especially late medieval/early modern italian city-states.

I still don't understand why some people hate science fiction so much. I'm in a house where people are pro science fiction so all is good.

My tops obsessions would be : Science fiction, the air force, Neil Gaiman books, drawing/ painting, astronomy, photography, writing and music (more listening and seeing live music/ not playing it).
